# Update on the Indexing API

\[Update: 30th September, 2024]

All indexing will resume on the 2nd of October 2024. We are currently still testing indexing on a larger scale.

\[Update: 22nd September, 2024]

Google has heavily restricted the indexing api since the beginning of September 2024.

The indexing api ([link](https://developers.google.com/search/apis/indexing-api/v3/using-api)) is used by many website indexing providers to index your pages. Originally, the indexing api was intended for job posts and video content, but this restriction has never been enforced until recently.

Since the beginning of September 2024, Google has started to enforce this limit. In other words, it is no longer possible to index all types pages using the indexing API.

Before Google made changes to the indexing api, SEO Copilot did not incur a cost for indexing a page on your behalf. This has now changed. For every indexing request we make, we have to pay a third party tool that sends the mobile google bot to your page to index it.

We have adjusted all plans accordingly to cover the indexing needs of our users. 95% of users will not see difference. We ask all other users to contact us should they wish to refund their monthly plan.

If there is a change in the indexing api policy, then we use the indexing api again and change back all plans to the old indexing limits.

For now, the updated limits can be found here:
